EDGE mountain rims keep making it to the podium.

Pro Gravirty Tour # 3, Tahoe - Santa Cruz Syndicate claimed 2 spots on the podium with Greg Minnaar finishing first and teammate Steve Pete finishing third. Not far off at fifth place was EDGE's sponsored athlete and Ogden local Mitch Ropelato. At age 18 he still finishes with the best of them.

An Edge Filled Weekend

This weekend was a great race weekend for EDGE with Edge sponsored athletes taking home a win in both mountain and road.

On the mountain side, Greg Minnaar took first at Leogang World Cup with his teammate Steve Pete taking 6th.

Heading over to Minnesota for the Nature Valley Grand Prix EDGE claimed 2 victories. UnitedHealthcare's Rory Sutherland was able to win the final stage which made him the overall winner.......

And Peanut Butter and Co/TWENTY 12's Shelley Evans taking 1st overall in the women's category.

Looks like a pretty intimidating start group in the women's pro field and a great weekend for EDGE.

Nicola Cranmer from Peanut Butter & Co.TWENTY12 Professional Cycling Team Checks in

Hi all, I wanted to be sure you watched the trailer for the upcoming web documentary series.

'The Heat is On' is a docu-reality series with upcoming episodes airing on the web - a progressive way to reach a wide audience of cycling fans. The series follows The Peanut Butter & Co Twenty12 cycling team at selected events through the 2010 season. It goes inside "life on the road' with the team, providing viewers with intimate access to these amazing personalities and what their lives as athletes really looks like. Our goal is that 'The Heat is On' become a game-changer not just for exposure and awareness around the team but, on a much higher level, for women's cycling in general by showcasing who and what makes this sport tick. We also hope to bring greater attention and respect to female athletes and women's sports' entrepreneurs through showing the next generation of leaders as they grow and develop.

The ultimate focus for the series is to see it develop into a full-blown network TV series, which will put the sport of women's (and men's) cycling on the map.
There are opportunities to sponsor individual episodes, where your product will be highlighted, if you would like more info please let me know.

Enjoy...its worth the 8 minutes
Please view on our team website

Marc de Maar wins Beauce queen stage

Mont Megantic, Que – Marc de Maar said his legs hadn’t felt too good the first couple days of the Grand Prix Cycliste de Beauce. Apparently, they got better in a hurry, as the Dutch rider won today’s stage atop Mont Megantic solo and took over the race lead.

UHC Sweeps Crystal City Cup podium

Arlington, VA – The Air Force Cycling Classic weekend couldn’t have ended any better for the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team Presented by Maxxis. Really. The Team swept the podium of the Crystal City Cup today, as Jake Keough led the charge to the line just ahead of teammates Karl Menzies and Hilton Clarke. The win completed the sweep begun yesterday with Clarke’s win of the Clarendon Cup.

Another victory for UHC and EDGE wheels. Congrats!

Congrats to Minnaar for leading WC and another podium finish

Santa Cruz Syndicate’s Greg Minnaar (SRAM/RockShox) retains the leader’s jersey in the UCI World Cup Downhill Series with a 3rd place finish on the dry, dusty, brutal track in Fort William, Scotland.

Fort William was packed on race day and the riders looked forward to hearing the cheers as they enter the finish arena.  The crowd is especially loud for the UK riders and when Steve was on track they were roaring.  At the second split we could see he was off the pace, yet the fans gave the reigning World Champ a hearty welcome as he crossed the line. Greg was the last man down with Gee Atherton now in the hotseat.  He rode smooth and steady, but was just 1.21 behind Gee at the finish for third, with Cameron Cole in 2nd

Thursday Compote

What's been going on in the world of Edge lately? Another day, another piece of carbon, as far as things go here in Ogden...we're always tweak, improve, make lighter and stronger just about every product that's out there, and the easy part is done on the computer and in the production room. The real work goes down on the roads and trails under our customers and athletes, the guys and girls who are out there getting their hands dirty and legs sweaty. Its this real world feed-back that lets us design and produce the best products possible, and its certainly more of a journey than a destination. Let's check in with what they folks have been up to. Sven Nys does a couple of "test rides" on the European World Cup circuit.

UHC's Morgan Schmitt finds the 1.65's to his liking as he tries on the leader's jersey at Mt Hood, after winning the Mt. Tabor circuit race.
